Steel Face Bumpers are equipped with a 3/8" thick steel front plate to provide additional layers of durability and protection.  These bumpers are ideal in docks where maximum protection is required as they are capable of absorbing more shock and abrasion than standard laminated bumpers. Steel bumpers are also very effective on docks that receive shipments from “air-ride” trailers that rub against the dock during the loading and unloading process as the truck moves up and down.  Standard sizes are 5-1/4" to 12-3/4" thick and all horizontal and vertical styles. Gussets for lower loading docks and special sizes are also available.
